What are national enforcement initiatives?

EPA sets national enforcement initiatives every three years to address the most serious pollution problems affecting communities. The initiatives focus on industry sectors or sources of pollution that EPA believes can best be addressed by a national enforcement team.  EPA teams work to achieve the goals set under each initiative and will make progress toward achieving these goals available on each of the initiative websites.
